TUITION AND FEES

The Charlotte Jewish Preschool is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. The money needed to operate our programs comes from tuition, fees, contributions, and fundraising. Tuition is based on an annual fee and for the convenience of our families, tuition is payable on a monthly basis. All tuition for CJP programs is due on the first of the month. The CJP does not send out monthly tuition bills. Tuition is non-refundable, except for family relocation 50 miles or further from Shalom Park.

Tuition Express (which is part of Procare, our childcare software system) allows us to process tuition and fee payments by automating monthly drafts from your checking account for no additional charge.

Tuition for our programs is based on an annual enrollment, NOT the number of days CJP is open, or for days a student attends each week or month.  No reductions or credits are given for days missed FOR ANY REASON, including but not limited to absence, illness, holidays, weather, emergencies, Shalom Park events, or other CJP closures.  The tuition deposit in non-refundable, except with a 30-day notice for family relocation 50 miles or further from Shalom Park.

As a reminder, tuition is comprised of annual costs incurred by CJP, including rent and security payments to the Foundation of Shalom Park, utilities, staff salaries and development, supplies and equipment.  One of the many benefits of the CJP program is that children are placed into a class for the entire year, and have the same teachers and classmates for that time period.  One of the reasons tuition is calculated as an annual fee, rather than on an hourly, daily, or even monthly basis is so that families can enjoy the stability, structure, and routine that comes with having year-long classes.

If it is possible for CJP to give any tuition credit or refunds we will use the Guiding Principles state above.  Credits or refunds will only be considered during or after any long-term closure of the school.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

CJP’s mission is to provide young children with a secure and loving atmosphere in which to grow, develop a positive self-image, and learn the joy of Jewish life.  As such, we are dedicated to ensuring that families have access to a premier Jewish early childhood education.

Each year, CJP has designated funds to assist families that are experiencing financial hardship and cannot afford our monthly tuition. Although we would love to accommodate all requests, we prioritize our awards based on a comprehensive assessment of your financial needs. We utilize a confidential third-party software (FAST), as well as the recommendations of our Financial Assistance Committee of the Board of Directors. The FAST portal can be accessed by clicking on the link below. In order for your FAST application to be considered complete, all requested supplemental documents must be provided and the application fee must be paid.
