FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

As it is CJP’s mission to provide young children with a secure and loving atmosphere in which to grow, develop a positive self-image, and learn the joy of Jewish life, we are dedicated to ensuring that families have access to a premier Jewish early childhood education. CJP has limited funds designated each year to assist families that are experiencing financial hardship and cannot afford our regular monthly tuition.  Although we would love to accommodate all requests, we prioritize our awards based on a comprehensive assessment of your financial needs by FAST, a confidential third-party software, and the recommendations of our Scholarship Committee.  The FAST portal can be accessed by clicking on the link below.

To be eligible for scholarship consideration, applicants must be currently registered for the upcoming Charlotte Jewish Preschool  year and be up-to-date on payments (all outstanding prior year balances must be paid).  In order for your FAST application to be considered complete, all requested supplemental documents must be provided and the application fee must be paid.  CJP may utilize Jewish Family Services (JFS) during the application process to ensure the anonymity for the applicants (if communication with the applicant is necessary with regard to missing or incomplete information).

Things to know and consider:

  1. The typical scholarship awards fall between 5 and 25 percent.
  2. In order to receive a scholarship for a Full Day program, both parents must be working.
  3. In order to receive a scholarship for a Half Day program, both parents working is preferred.
  4. CJP will attempt to finalize and e-mail award letters prior to your first regularly scheduled tuition payment.

The scholarship application process for the 2020-2021 school year is now open.
