Programs

CJP provides half- and full-day early childhood education within an enriched Jewish environment. Children must be of age as of September 15 in order to be enrolled in a specific program.  For example, in order to be enrolled in a two-year-old program, a child must be two years of age by September 15.  Full Day One Year Old students must be one year old prior to start date.

Our Full Day Program typically operates from the end of July until the middle of June, from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Our Half Day Program typically operates from the beginning of September to end of May, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. We offer a three- or five-day option for our Two- and Three-Year-Old classes, a five-day option for our Four-Year-Old classes, and a TK class which runs five days a week from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Our Full Day Program typically operates from the end of July until the middle of June, from 7:00am to 6:00pm, and offer classes for One Year Olds through Four Year Olds.  Thel LJCC operates Camp Katan for 6 weeks each summer when the CJP is closed.  This ensures that your child has continuous year-round care, if needed.

Our Half Day Program typically operates from the beginning of September to the end of May, from 9:00am to 1:00pm.  We offer three- or five- day options for our Twos and Three Year Old classes,, a five-day option for our Four Year Old classes, and a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) class, which runs five days a week from 8:00am to 1:00pm.  For our TK students "Kehillah Kids," an optional class that offers afternoon learning experiences, which runs Monday through Friday, from 1:00pm to 6:00pm.  If early care is needed for our Half Day students, the LJCC runs pre-care from 8:00am to 9:00am.

Transitional Kindergarten is a bridge between preschool and kindergarten for children who have completed a Four's program.  Our TK nurtures the whole child through an explorative learning philosophy.  Children engage in learning through new facets:  multi-sensory exploration and hands-on projects inspired by the children and their interests.  They will strengthen their early literacy skills including letter recognition, writing, and beginning reading.  Children continue exploring number sense and problem solving skills.  They will also be exploring the world around them both culturally and scientifically.  Our program emphasizes social and emotional learning, and independence.  Students become leaders and gaind the confidence necessary for a successful transition to elementary school.  All of these skills come together while children engage in Judaic learning.  This year we will be offering "Kehillah Kids," an afterschool program for TK students which includes a variety of activities that go beyond classroom instruction, such as engineering, creative arts, nature, and more.  This program will give students an opportunity to extend their day, all while continuing to learn, socialize, and be part of the Kehillah (community).

The LJCC offers additional programs for your children to attend, including swimming, sports, arts, music, and dance. The LJCC will ensure a safe and smooth transfer from CJP to the Levine JCC beginning at 1:00pm.  Please see the Levine JCC program guide for more information.
